INSTRUCTIONS & INFOS ABOUT OUR HOTEL OPERATION AND GRINDELWALD
reservations confirmation
to confirm your reservation, we need a valid credit card number with expiry date. this can be given to us by phone +41 (0) 33 853 10 82 or email.
our cancellation policy
if cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, are free of charge. if cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show or early departure, the total price of the reservation will be charged. we strongly recommend the closure of cancellation insurance.
these cancellation conditions are independent of weather conditions.
for reservations of 12 persons or more, special group cancellation conditions apply
Exception: 23.12.2023 to 07.01.2024 the following provisions apply:
cancellations and changes made up to 20 days before the date of arrival will be free of charge. later cancellations, changes, no-shows or early departures will be charged with the total amount.
payment options
to settle the hotel bill we prefer cash or debit card.
check in
check-in from 3 to 9pm
in case of later arrivals we ask you to inform us in advance. we charge 50.00 chf per room for late check-in (from 9 – 10pm). arrival after 10pm is not possible!
check out
check-out from 8 – 11am
late departure possible (until 12am) at an extra charge of 30.00 chf per room
pick up service
on the day of your arrival, you can use the local bus (bus terminal next to the train station) from the train station to the lauberhorn. it’s free with the hotel reservation. if there is no local bus at your arrival time, we will pick you up at grindelwald train station (3 – 9pm). for the pick-up service, please call us as soon as you arrive at grindelwald station
local bus
summer – the bus stop lauberhorn is directly in front of the hotel, on the bus line 121 to oberer gletscher/grosse scheidegg. the local bus is free with the guest card.
winter – the ski bus stop lauberhorn is directly in front of the hotel. the bus runs every 15 min and takes you to firstbahn for the cablecar to first, to the train station for the ski train to kl. scheidegg and to männlichenbahn·for cablecar to männlichen.
about 30m below the hotel lauberhorn, the ski slope grindel (valley descent first-grindelwald) passes by!
parking
there is free parking for guests directly in front of the hotel.
breakfast
from 07.30 – 10.00am continental breakfast buffet is served with local fresh products.
luggage storage
if you want to do something else on the day of departure, you can leave your luggage with us, a shower is also available.
pets
we are not equipped for four-legged animals, pets are not allowed.

if you want to move actively in grindelwald or need mountain rail tickets, just contact us.

- the hotel Kirchbühl has two different restaurants (8 minutes by foot) kirchbühl
- the restaurant Gletscherblick is 300m next to the hotel lauberhorn (5 minutes by foot)
