if you stay in the chalet-style hotel lauberhorn you will be placed on the sunny side of grindelwald. the location of the hotel is incredibly spectacular as well as quiet. it’s an oasis 600m outside downtown, in front of the eiger north face. personal guest service is very important to us. therefore we love to give you advice and provide you with information about your activities and possibilities in and around grindelwald. i conny, have lived in grindelwald for 21 years and i’m still gaining energy and power from the endless variations of sports possibilities in this beautiful nature. beni, my husband, grew up here, is a tandem paragliding pilot and ski instructor. both of us are passionate mountain bikers, skiers and mountaineers. we would be happy to share many secret places with you.
in may 2005 we, conny and beni kaufmann, were able to buy the hotel lauberhorn from the howald family. since then the somewhat traditional chalet style hotel has been under constant construction and remodeling and finally turning into a colorful and fun-loving lifestyle concept.
as we reinvest the profit into our hotel, we’re doing most remodeling by ourselves. you won’t find any pompous features here or the appearance changed daily or yearly, we strictly follow our concept.
the lauberhorn is a casual hotel, simple but contemporary with its own personality and refreshing hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere. that might not please everyone. our concept is different, we do things better, different or not at all. but we are focused on things we do best and especially better than others.
there are people behind this, not money.
